Why this site. Callanish has a genuine astronomical claim attached to it: the major lunar standstill, an 18.6-year cycle during which the moon skims the southern hills and appears to lie down inside the stones. That is a real, dateable event you can go and watch. What our engine tests is something else entirely, whether Callanish sits at meaningful distances from other monuments, and the answer is no, almost exactly as flat as a result gets. Two different questions, two honest answers.
